Admission to the visitor centre and archeological gardens is free.

Opening times

Open 1 March – 15 November
March, October, November: 1pm-5pm (closed Tuesdays)
April, May, June, September: daily 1pm-6pm
July and August: daily 10.30am-6.30pm

Getting here

Gisacum archeological site, 8 rue des Thermes – 27930 Le Vieil-Evreux

Please note that the site is not in the town of Evreux, but 7 km away, towards Paris.

10 minutes from Evreux on the N13 towards Paris, exit “Le Vieil-Evreux”. Follow signs to “Gisacum”.

45 minutes from Rouen on the A13 and N154, exit 8 for “Paris”. Continue along the N13 towards Paris, exit “Le Vieil-Evreux”, then follow signs to “Gisacum”.

1 hour from Paris on the A13 exit 15 “Chaufour Evreux Pacy-sur-Eure”. Take the N13 towards “Evreux” for 20 km then follow signs to “Gisacum”.

Shop

There is a shop at the entrance to the visitor centre selling works on archeology and the Gallo-Roman period, reproductions of ancient games, Roman culinary specialities, reproductions of ceramics, and so on.

Accessibility

The visitor centre is disabled and wheelchair accessible.

The archeological gardens and baths are also accessible, with flat footpaths and no steps. However, these paths have not been tarmaced in order to allow them to blend in with the landscape.

Visually-impaired visitors may tour the visitor centre with their guide dog.

For the comfort of hearing-impaired visitors, a magnetic loop has been fitted at site reception. Do not hesitate to ask the receptionist to use it.
